Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrushes and Habanero Pizza

As the co-host and trail guide of the Wildflower Walk and Pizza event, I was thrilled to see so many nature enthusiasts and members of DFWYAS enjoy a memorable evening. The hike was held along the knob hill bike trail in Roanoke Texas, where a large patch of hidden bluebonnets were waiting to be discovered.

It was inspiring to see the participants engage in conversation and connect with each other over their shared love of nature. We explored the diverse flora and fauna of the trail, taking photos and documenting our experience along the way.

Earl's 377 Pizza

After the walk, we gathered for a delicious pizza dinner and drinks at Earl's 377. It was lovely to see everyone eager to connect deeper and learn how our paths crossed. All that being said, when the food arrived it became just a bit quieter because it was just that good! I indulged in the Padre Island and Amor La Carne (yes two whole pies, don’t judge!) One was a take on the hotly debated Hawaiian pizza and the other was a nonstop salty delight with a spicy kick!

As the event came to a close, we took a second group photo to capture the energy and joy of everyone that participated. I believe it was a wonderful experience for everyone involved, and I'm proud to have co-hosted such a successful event. I'm looking forward to planning more events like this in the future, and I encourage anyone who is interested in nature and socializing to join DFW Young and Social and stay tuned for upcoming events.
