Welcome to DFW Young & Social, a community for people ages 21-40 who want to try out new activities while building connections!
Let's chase off the winter chill and sample some Merengue!
Merengue is a playful, easy Latin dance, with an upbeat feel. If you've never done it before, don't worry—I'll show you the ropes from the ground up. If you have done it before, I always layer in technique as I teach, so you'll have plenty to focus on.
You don’t have to bring a partner! We rotate throughout the class, so everyone gets plenty of opportunities to dance and meet new people.
After the workshop, we'll go to The Londoner and continue to hang out and make friends!

What to Wear:
Clothing:
No specific dress code for the workshop! Wear something you are comfortable moving in. Women often wear blouses and jeans, or dresses (if the skirt flares, or is extra short, I recommend shorts underneath!) Men often wear t-shirts and jeans, or button-downs and slacks. Dress up if you like, no pressure if you don't!
Shoes:
Smooth-soled shoes are best. Comfortable dress shoes often work well for men, but something like keds is a pretty good option. Women often wear heels; however, unless it has an ankle strap, I wouldn't recommend it.
Avoid:
Anything with heavy tread, flip flops, sandals, stilettos, slingbacks, and platforms.
