Let's kick off the New Year by making some new friends, getting active, and sampling one of the very most popular dance styles—swing!
East Coast Swing is an easy, energetic, musically flexible version of swing dancing. If you've never done it before, don't worry—I'll show you the ropes from the ground up. If you have done it before, I always layer in technique as I teach, so you'll have plenty to focus on.
You don’t have to bring a partner! We rotate throughout the class, so everyone gets plenty of opportunities to dance and meet new people.
After the workshop, we'll head over to the Londoner and continue to hang out and make friends!

What to Wear:
Clothing:
There's no formal dress code, but wear something you feel comfortable moving in! Women often wear blouses and jeans, or dresses (if the skirt flares, or is extra short, I recommend shorts underneath!) Men often wear t-shirts and jeans, or button-downs and slacks. Dress up if you like, no pressure if you don't!
Shoes:
Smooth-soled shoes are best. Comfortable dress shoes often work well for men, but something like keds is a pretty good option. Women often wear heels; however, unless it has an ankle strap, I wouldn't recommend it.
Avoid: Anything with heavy tread, flip flops, sandals, stilettos, slingbacks, and platforms.
