We follow the story of Captain Vimes, the cynical leader of Ankh-Morpork’s underdog City Watch, as he and his ragtag team attempt to stop a conspiracy that involves summoning a dragon to overthrow the government. With memorable characters, sharp wit, and biting social commentary, this fantasy novel explores themes of power, corruption, and heroism.
