Sponsor Spotlight: Rusty Ahmadi | Realtor

Buying a home can feel like navigating a maze, exciting but full of twists and turns. That’s where Rusty comes in. His mission?

To demystify real estate and make homeownership more accessible for everyone, especially first-time buyers.

As a longtime member of DFW Young & Social, Rusty has seen our community grow from the start. He’s proud to support a space that welcomes people, encourages connections, and helps them step outside their comfort zone—just like he does for his clients.

Now, let’s hear from Rusty himself!

About Rusty’s Business

What’s the name of your company, and what’s your mission?
I like to keep it simple! I want to demystify real estate and help more people become homeowners.

What inspired you to start this business?
We’re all taught that owning a home offers a lot of benefits—stability, freedom, growing wealth—but the process itself is often a mystery. I wanted to help friends and first-time buyers understand how to buy a home and, even better, buy a good home they’ll love for years.

How does your work impact the community?
Around the time I started, there was a lot of talk about the “K-shaped recovery” and how owning a home was a major factor in upward financial mobility. I’ve seen firsthand how simply owning a home can bring stability—not just financially, but emotionally. I want to help spread that stability to as many people as possible.

Why Partner with DFW Young & Social?

What made you want to collaborate with DFW Young & Social?
It’s an amazing group of locals and community members—run by two fantastic people—built on the foundation of helping people find friends. Exactly the kind of people I want to collaborate with!

What values does your business share with our community?
Making people comfortable. DFWYAS does a great job of encouraging people to try new things while making sure everyone feels welcome, and that’s something I strive to do, too. Real estate has always felt a bit exclusionary, and one of my biggest goals—just like DFWYAS—is to make sure people feel included.

Any standout moments from your sponsorship so far?
The Valentine’s Dance Classes were a blast! I got to chat with a lot of people, and honestly, it’s always fun to tell people outside of DFWYAS that I work with a dance studio and social club!

Fun & Personal

If your business had a theme song, what would it be?
I’m rather fond of Duke Ellington’s “It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing.” It’s a fun tune, and I believe buying a home should be a fun experience, too!

What’s a fun fact about your company or team?
The brokerage I work through, Keller Williams Allen, hosts a charity day every year called Red Day. Everyone is encouraged to participate in some form of giving back, whether it’s manual labor (I’ve built fences at retirement homes) or picking up trash from local trails.

How do you unwind outside of work?
I mostly dance to unwind! I’ve been trying to convince my coworkers and friends to join in, and quite a few have had their first-ever dance lessons with DFW YAS. If there aren’t any dance events happening, I default to cooking a nice meal with my wife—nothing beats taking time to make something a little fancier than usual.

Giving Back to the Community

What does community involvement mean to your business?
Community involvement is the foundation of what I do. I’m a big believer in growing a business organically: help people, do good work, and stay in touch. Being active in a community and always being available to answer questions is the first step!

Do you support any other local initiatives, events, or causes?
I’ve volunteered at Minnie’s Food Pantry from time to time. The simple act of putting food in boxes to help people always feels good.

What’s one thing you hope to contribute to DFW Young & Social through your sponsorship?
I’d love to see the community keep growing! Back in 2023, the dance group could fit in the back room of a dance studio—now, there’s no way that would happen! I’m glad I could help Marco and Alexi find their new space, and I’d love to help find an even bigger one if the group keeps growing. That would be amazing!

A huge thank you to Rusty Ahmadi for his support and for being a vital part of our community. If you’re thinking about homeownership—or just want to talk real estate over a dance class—Rusty’s your guy!
