Swing, Burgers, and Good Times: A Recap of DFW Young and Social's Latest Events

Howdy Y’all,

We recently hosted two events this past weekend - the Lindy Hop Social Dance Lesson and an “after party” at Twisted Root. Both events were so much fun, and I couldn't be more grateful to have had the opportunity to bring people together for a great time.

First up, let's talk about Lindy Hop. This event was an absolute hit! We had an amazing turnout, and I could tell from the get-go that everyone was ready to have a good time.

As the music started and our wonder instructor Alexi Noble, began leading us through the steps and the energy in the room was electric. People were laughing, smiling, and having a blast. I couldn't help but feel the positive vibe and get into the swing of things myself (see what I did there?).

The best part of the event was seeing everyone come together and support each other. Whether you were a beginner or an experienced dancer, everyone was encouraged to join in and have fun. We had everyone switch partners throughout the evening that allowed people to talk and make new friends. It was heartwarming to see the camaraderie and connection that was built among everyone. After we finished kicking good o’ charles as much as we could. We headed to the after party hangout at Twisted Root, which was equally fantastic.

The food was amazing, and the venue was the perfect spot for us to kick back and relax after all that dancing. We enjoyed burgers, fries, and refreshing beverages while swapping stories and getting to know each other even better. It felt like we were all just hanging out with old friends catching up!

It's moments like these that make me so grateful to be a part of DFW Young and Social. Our community is all about bringing young adults together to have fun and build connections. I feel privileged to be able to host events like these and create spaces where people can come together to enjoy each other's company.

I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out to both of these events. Your energy, enthusiasm, and positive attitudes made them such a success.
