Are you ready to swing dance your socks off—and make new friends while doing it!?
Lindy Hop is the original Swing—energetic, fun, and just plain cool. It's also quite popular! If you've never done it before, don't worry—I'll show you the ropes from the ground up. If you have done it before, I always layer in technique as I teach, so you'll have plenty to focus on.
You don’t have to bring a partner! We rotate throughout the class, so everyone gets plenty of opportunities to dance and meet new people.
After the workshop, we'll pick a nearby bar and continue to hang out and make friends!

What to Wear:
Clothing:
No specific dress code for the workshop! Wear something you are comfortable moving in. Women often wear blouses and jeans, or dresses (if the skirt flares, or is extra short, I recommend shorts underneath!) Men often wear t-shirts and jeans, or button-downs and slacks. Dressing up in vintage-inspired clothes (usually 1920's, 1940's, or 1950's) is popular though definitely not necessary! Dress up if you like, no pressure if you don't!
Shoes:
Smooth-soled shoes are best. Comfortable dress shoes often work well for men, but something like keds is a pretty good option. Character shoes are also great. Avoid: Anything with heavy tread, flip flops, sandals, stilettos, slingbacks, and platforms. Note: High or Latin heels are not recommended for Lindy Hop!
