Escape to Paradise Island Dance

  • Celebration Event Center and Ballroom 2165 West Park Boulevard Plano, TX, 75075 United States (map)

Experience tropical island vibes and let the rhythm of the music carry you away to a world of fun and connection at our vibrant social dance event!

In collaboration with Swinging on a Star, with the one-and-only Ivy Nichols, join us for an unforgettable evening filled with the magic of social dancing in a paradise-themed setting. We'll have a fantastic Salsa lesson with our very own Alexi from DFW Young & Social, as well as the amazing Roy Plutchik, so you can brush up on your moves or learn something new!

Important Info:

  • $12 dollars for Class & Open Dance

  • Salsa Lesson will be from 7:30 - 8:00

  • Open Dance from 8:00pm - 10:00pm

  • Swinging on a Star has a group of about 20 young adults who join every month that will not be reflected in the RSVP numbers.

Feel free to dress up in your favorite tropical attire embracing the theme or anything you are comfortable in! Don't miss this fabulous night of dancing and get ready to make great memories with friends new and old.

Clothing:

Feel free to embrace the Paradise Island theme and wear your favorite tropical attire – there's no formal dress code, and you should feel comfortable in anything you choose! Whether you decide to dress up or not, it's entirely up to you, and there's no pressure either way!

Shoes:

Smooth-soled shoes are best. Comfortable dress shoes often work well for men, but something like keds is a pretty good option. Women often wear heels; however, unless it has an ankle strap, I wouldn't recommend it.

Avoid: Anything with heavy tread, flip flops, sandals, stilettos, slingbacks, and platforms.

Please use our discord server for all day of event communications and also to find us if you're running late! Just a reminder, though, that reception isn't guaranteed, and we try to be present with everyone while the event is running (e.g, we won't be on our phones constantly.)
